What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot asked to complete high speed taxi test to return the aircraft to service. Pilot taxied to runway 21 at g (8500 ft of runway 21 remaining). During the taxi out the pilot noticed that he had to pump the brakes more than normal, but felt he had adequate braking. Pilot accelerated aircraft to 90+ knots and then closed the throttle with 3,000 ft of runway remaining. He applied pressure to the brake and they were soft. He continiously pumped and could not get adequate braking. At the last taxiway (F4) he was still going too fast to make the 90 degree turn off and elected to continue straight ahead. Aircraft went through the runway end lights. Aircraft sustained minor damage to the left landing gear door and damaged one light cover. Pilot pumped brakes and found that he had adequate brakes to taxi to the hangar.
