From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Upon touch down on grass strip aircraft veered to the left towards a fence line. He applied power and attempted a go around but stated his control stick was bound up. He cut power and used rudder to make an emergency landing in a grassy area adjacent to the runway. The aircraft came to rest in a nose down attitude. The left wing was partially separated from the fuselage. Examination of the aircraft revealed no anomilies. Continuity of the flight controls was established as well as movement of the control stick.
