From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

privacy data omitted Had an inflight electrical problem and was losing his transponder. He was directed to Cumberland airport by ATC. He was using a hand held GPS to find the airport. He put the gear down when in the pattern. He apparently did not check to see if the gear was fully down. He may not have checked the lights. The gear did not come completely down and lock due to loss of electrical power. During the roll out the gear folded back into the wells.
