From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft uplifted a 2000 pound load of fertilizer for disbursement. After takeoff at approximately 30 feet altitude the pilot heard a load bang followed by a loss in engine power. He also observed flames coming out of the engine exhaust. The pilot immediately steered the aircraft to the right I an attempt to land on an adjacent road. The aircraft landed a few feet short of the road in a dry drainage ditch. The wheels dug into the loose dirt and the aircraft flipped over on its back.
