From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot reported at approximatley 0830 hrs on may 9, 2025, that while landing for a reload the approach seemed a little fast, and on touchdown rollout he started to use beta (thrust reverse) without the tail wheel being fully on the ground resulting in the aircraft nosing over and landing on its back. The pilot also noted that he did not apply brakes during the event. Upon arrival to the scene, I found that the aircraft had been relocated to a hay barn not FAR from the gravel strip where the accident had occured. The aircraft had been disassembled with the wings, vertical stabilizer, and fuselage panels removed. Examination of the parts and fuselage, indicated that the damage sustained to the aircaft was consistent with the pilots report.

As the FAA filed it
