From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airman landed aircraft at private residence airstrip in crosswind conditions. Just after touchdown, airman stated the wind shifted to a quartering to near full tailwind, such that it he said it "lifted the tail" and was pushing the aircraft. Subsequent outcome is that the airman was unable to stop the aircraft before reaching the end of the private runway. The aircraft went down a steep hill into a ravine, resulting in substantial damage. Airman wanted to be clear that there was nothing wrong with the aircraft that led to this accident.
