What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot in command misjudged his altitude while performing an agricultural operation. The aircraft spray boom and landing gear collected corn stalks as a result of the pilot in command getting too low. Once the pilot realized this, he immediately pulled up in an effort to return to his home airport. The increase in drag made the aircraft unable to maintain flight. The pilot was forced to land in the corn field causing substantial damage to the aircraft.
