From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was intent on performing a night proficiency flight. At a taxiway/runway intersection he mistook a runway edge line for a taxiway centerline. Susequently the propeller made contact with a runway edge light. The pilot stated the area was poorly lit. He received his private license 1.5 months ago, and has 90 hours total. He returned under the same conditions with a CFI to the intersection for remedial training. He informed massport of the poor lighting in that area and they concurred with his assesment. He has supplied a statement and photos.
