From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Gusty wind conditions prevailed at the time of landing, with three different reporting points on the field indicating wind directions varying as much as 100 degrees, with gusts exceeding 20KTS at times. Previous landing aircraft reported a -10KTS windshear at 400 ft. pilot used proper crosswind landing control inputs, and as tailwheel contacted runway while slowing down on the landing rollout, the aircraft began to veer sharply to the left, causing the right wing to make contact with the runway surface, causing substantial damage to right wingtip, aileron and spar.
