What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
When taxiing to the runway, the pilot observed two other aircraft in the runnup area. When they left, he began scanning his gauges for his takeoff check, meanwile a Cessna 152 taxiied around a corner in front of him and began their runnup. The pilot of 23UT failed to see the CE-152 due to the conventional gear configuration of his Starduster biplane. The pilots brother-in-law/passenger started waving his hands to have their aircraft stopped. The pilot stopped their airplane, but not until their propeller had struck the right wing tip of the CE-152 causing damage to about two ribs and the end of the wing spar. No injuries in either aircraft.
