From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was enroute to Houma from an offshore oil platform cruising at 2250' AGL and 130 knots. About 15 minutes from landing at Houma the pilot reported a slight wobble. The crew ran a proximity check of the aircraft systems with no anomalies. After landing at Houma the flight maintenance technician started his workaround and noticed two thirds of the horizontal stabilizer support tube was missing. One third of horizontal stabilizer upper end was still connected to the pylon upper horizontal stabilizer support bracket.
