From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The flight instructor, who was acting as pilot in command, stated that at the time of the incident they were planning a no flap stop and go. Prior to final approach, the tower told them that they would not be able to land due to conflicting traffic. They were cleared to conduct a low pass only. Moments later, and while on short final, the tower informed them the conflicting flight would side step to another landing area and then cleared them to stop and go. The CFI PIC and her student failed to check and ensure the gear was down and locked for landing. The aircraft subsequently landed gear up.
