What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Just before touchdown at approximately ten (10) feet above the runway, the pilot observed from the corner of his eye, two (2) deer crossing the runway. The left main gear hit one of the deer, causing the left main gear to collaspe. The aircraft slid down the runway for approximately fifteen hundred (1500) feet. The aircraft's left main gear and nose gear left the runway surface the last five hundred (500) feet, and came to rest.
