From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On January 21, 2012 at approximately 2000 local time, N47864, a PA-34, approached the Fort Stockton airport (fst) and attempted to extend the landing gear. The landing gear failed to extend. The pilot attempted to an emergency extention without success. The pilot opted to land the aircraft gear up after several attempts of extending the gear normally and emergency extend. The aircraft landed gear up causing damage to the propellers and minor skin damage on the airplane underside. The aircraft hydraulic pump was found to have failed. The emergency extend was activated when the aircraft was lifted and the gear extended at that time.
