What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
While on approach to dhn, the pilot stated he selected to extend the landing gear. The main gear extended, but the nose gear did not. The pilot left the pattern and completed the emergency checklist. The pilot stated he was unable to get the nose gear down and locked, so he executed the landing with only the main gear down and locked. The aircraft slid to a stop and pilot egressed with no injuries. Damage to aircraft was minimal. Maintenance personnel from dhn examined the nose gear and found the nose gear actuator broken in half. This failed component would not allow the extension and locking of the nose gear.
