From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was landing a conventional gear aircraft to the south on a turf runway (12 inch tall grass) and lost control of the aircraft. The aircraft ground looped and continued in a southwesterly direction, going through a wire fence west of the runway, approximately 1500 feet from the approach end. The aircraft came to rest against a wood privacy fence approximately 10 feet west of the wire fence. A prominent ground scar where the left landing gear scraped the turf was evident along this path. The wind at the time of the accident was reported as variable at three knots. The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the left landing gear, left wing, aileron, empennage and propeller. The pilot was not injured.
