From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed FL37 in route to sebring, FL. And gear retraction was normal. Pilot selected gear down with no response & tripped c/b. pilot reset breaker with same results. He then tried a manual gear extension, but he was unable to turn the gear crank. After strongly forcing the manual gear crank it broke loose but had no effect on the landing gear. Pilot coordinated an emeregency and cooridinated a gear up landing with minor damage to the airframe. Most of the damage was absorbed by the heavy duty stohl flap tracks. Inspected landing gear gearbox and discovered that reduction gear would turn with manual gear extension handle, but the main gear box would not turn.
