From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was reported to be on an instrument training flight. The CFI stated that on touch down, the landing gear collapsed. The pic/ owner stated that the landing gear was down and they initiated a rather steep descent due to ATC requirment to maintain 4000 feet at tule VOR. When touch down occurred the PIC thought the gear just collaspsed beneth the aircraft and then it slid to a stop. Follow up inspection of the aircraft has not been able to find any reason for the landing gear to collapse. Aircraft has been ferried to lakeport, CA. For inspection and repair.
