From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Upon landing the seal in the left brake master cylinder failed causing loss of braking on the left hand brake system. This in turn caused the aircraft to yaw to the right and exit the runway. The aircraft colided with a large blackberry bush and came to rest on it's nose. There was non-substantial damage to the right hand - upper wing leading edge and wing tip. There was a tear in the right hand - lower wing fabric approximately mid span of the wing. The engine and propeller were inspected and determined to be airworthy.
