From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC was on a straight in approach for runway 25 at mri, when landing gear handle was moved to select down the nose gear "down and locked" light failed to illuminate. PIC recycled the gear but the same condition resulted. PIC requested a low approach for the tower could advise on the condition of the nose gear. The tower at first stated that it appeared the gear was down but another aircraft stated that he thought the nose gear was not quite all the way down. In downwind PIC recycled the landing gearh again. The tower advised the PIC that the nose gear came up but the mains were still in the down position. The tower operator advised PIC that they had called fire - rescue to standby. PIC had not completed the gearextension checklist and had not declared an emergency at this time. PIC checked the bulb in the N0SE gear down light and it was good . PIC slowed the plane to below 80KTS lowered the gear and the nose gear light illuminated. PIC told the tower he had three green and was going to land. Aircraft landed with no further problems.
