This was a pleasure part 91 flight. There was one passenger. The pilot was flying to a Cessna 170 club event at eight mile gravel strip, located 8 miles south of Skwentna, Alaska. This is an off-airport strip. The pilot reported touching down on runway and then aborted due to a large dog entering the airstrip. The pilot made a second approach, he noticed an all terrain vehicle (atv) riding along the reflective cones marking the right side of the runway. The atv driver's back was toward the aircraft. The pilot reported touching down and was on roll-0UT when the atv drove into the runway. The aircraft bounced and veered to the left to avoid the atv. The aircraft rolled into the woods and struck some alder trees and came to a stop. There were no injuries. Follow up 44709 transfered to anc FSDO
