From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft was marshaled to a gate in Madison, WI, that had no EMB170 stop markings painted on the ramp. The marshaler failed to stop the aircraft short of the jetway bridge resulting in the left engine nacelle slightly contacting the jetway. Corrective action: the station has agreed to paint emb 170 stop lines at each gate for the marshaler to use when parking emb 170 aircraft. Also, the station will no longer use gate 4 to park emb 170 aircraft, if at all possible.
