From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

An unsafe right main landing gear indication was experienced after takeoff. On landing rollout, the right main landing gear & left main landing gear collapsed. During aircraft recovery, after the aircraft was lifted from the edge of the runway, one of the lifting straps broke, causing the aircraft to fall to the ground.

Amended 11/21/2012 roche: examination of the aircraft identified that a failed seal in the landing gear rotary selector control valve caused the landing gear not to lock in the down position.
