From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 09/20/2012 at approximately 1414 EDT, c-femt, LR-36-A, taxied to runway 20 for takeoff at Tweed New Haven Airport (khvn), New Haven, CT. C-femt was cleared for takeoff by Tweed tower. Crew applied takeoff power and began takeoff roll. After 80 knots the PIC noticed two deer on the right side of the runway moving onto the runway and into the takeoff path. The PIC announced abort, applied maximum braking and aborted the takeoff. Impact ocurred shortly thereafter. The aircraft was initially stopped on the runway and then exited the runway under its own power. The aircraft was taxied to Robinson FBO and parked. Initial inspection of the aircraft revealed damage to the right wing inboard leading edge, right landing light and right main gear door. No injuries sustained.

Further inspection for hidden damage has revealed right wing anti-ice tubing damaged beyond repair as well as distortion to the outboard section of the right front wing spar.
