From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On Monday, September 24, 2012, a Dassault falcon (DA-20) landed on the centerline of runway 19 at Rutland -Southern Vermont regional airport (rut) in VFR weather with light winds. When the PIC applied the brakes the aircraft veered to the left on the runway. The left main landing gear went off the runway into the grass safety area. The PIC & SIC applied maximum braking and brought the aircraft back onto the runway after striking one runway edge light. Aircraft taxied to the FBO and deplanned the uninjured passengers. Inspection revealed damage to the left inboard/outboard flaps and no other damage to aircraft. Number one engine boroscoped and no damage found. Both left flaps replaced with no other damaged noted to the aircraft.
