From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was landing on runway 18 and touched down approximately 1100 feet past the threshold. Length of runway 18 is 2691 feet. After touchdown the pilot initially applied light braking. With about 550 feet of the runway left the pilot attempted to stop by applying heavy braking, causing the main wheels to lock up. With approximately 30 feet of runway remaining, a go-around was attempted by adding full power. Aircraft failed to obtain sufficient speed to become airborne, went off end of runway, through airport fence struck 2 highway signs and ended up on highway approximately 350 feet off end of runway 18.

As the FAA filed it
