From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The student pilot initiated a solo flight at approximately 15:15 Hawaii local time and departed Port Allen Airport toward the north west. Approximately 7 to 10 minutes into the flight, the pilot felt a strong vibration in the airframe. The pilot decided to make a precautionary landing off airport to investigate the vibration. Upon landing the aircraft hit a 2 feet tall scrub/branch on touchdown in a sloped area. The aircraft rolled over on its side and came to rest. The pilot turned off the master switch as the engine had quit running and exited the aircraft.
