From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 01/28/2013, N41TF, a Learjet LR-45 aircraft experienced a primary trim failure and secondary trim fault. Climbing thru FL 190 the (PIC) engaged the autopilot and within 30 seconds received an "ap elev mistrim" cas message, followed by ?pri trim fail?, ?mach trim fail?, ?sec trim fault? Cas messages. The flight crew followed applicable abnormal procedures for each cas message. The crew was able to recover secondary trim at which time they declared an emergency and returned to Richmond International Airport, VA without any further incident. Maintenance personnel determined the horizontal stabilizer actuator failed, replaced it and performed a satisfactory acceptance flight.
