From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that he had performed several takeoffs and landings on ice covered lake winnebago. While taxiing at approximately 15 mph after the last landing, the left landing gear folded up underneath the fuselage. The left wing and propeller then contacted the ice as the aircraft came to a stop.

The investigation determined that the left landing gear sustained substantial damage. The landing gear failed due to the failure of the left main landing gear front attachment cluster. There was also substantial damage to the left wing due to a cracked wing spar. The propeller sustained minor damage.
