What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot stated the initial approach was good but a little flatter and more power than normal and he reduced power too quickly and the aircraft sank. The first bounce was not to severe. The aircraft bounced a second time up to about 15 feet. When the aircraft bounced the third time it had run out of airspeed and landed hard enough to collapse the front gear. As a result, the prop struck the runway and the engine stopped. The aircraft traveled about another 40 feet down the runway on the main gear struts.
