Pilot aborted takeoff from pwk runway 16 after reporting loss of elevator control. Witnesses saw the aircraft bounce several times down the runway. The aircraft was taken to a hangar for evaluation. An a&p/ia noted that the elevator trim indicator was set forward of the takeoff range and that there was a small discrepancy between the indicator and the stabilizer position. The trim was actually set approximately 2/3 of the way nose-down. He also noted that the propeller had struck the ground. The elevator control system was found to be operating normally.
