From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The airplane landed on runway 18 with light winds. Upon landing the tail wheel began to shutter as it touched the asphalt runway. The airplane entered a right skidding turn, departed the runway on to the grass. The left wing, and left elevator were substantially damaged as a result of contacting the ground in the grass. The tail wheel assembly was also damaged as a result of the skidding action from the runway on to the grass and possibly the subsequent taxi to the parking ramp with the tailwheel bent and locked to the right.
