From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On first flight after aircraft and landing gear maintenance, right main landing gear collapsed after touchdown and rollout. Aircraft veered off runway onto grassy area adjacent to runway.

Bellcrank 5041001 found with broken attachment tab. This bellcrank holds over center brace in place and locked in down position.

Improper rigging of landing gear will permit gear to collapse and also be the cause of bellcrank failure. Weight of the aircraft being applied to gear rigging in an unlocked condition applied forces to bellcrank in an incorrect direction and part was not designed nor intended to function in this manner.
