From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

American eagle (sima) an EMB-135-LR on flight 3364 flying between lga and yul, while in cruise at FL250, experienced a burning smell, followed by smoke which came up from the right side of the cockpit. There were complaints from the cabin also. The crew declared an emergency with the center, and landed at Alb on runway 1 (one) without incident. On landing the smoke subsided enough that the captain reported this to the tower, and so the aircraft taxied up to the ramp where the passengers deplaned by stairs at the ramp area.

Corrective action:

Technicians trouble shot problem to r/h pack (acm) air cycle machine that was grinding and producing abnormal odors in cockpit and cabin.
