From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Talk with pilot in command, PIC stated departed fredericksburg (T82) for Lago Vista (kryw). Checked weather in fredericksburg and found VFR with light cross wind. Had a normal approach, on center line and full flaps, upon wheels touching runway felt a gust of wind that took a/c back in the air and to the left. Decided to go around and add full power and reached for the flap switch and placed in the up position, the aircraft nosed up and to the left, saw the hangers and the trees, felt the aircraft stall and go into the trees. Exited the aircraft through the right door. Minor injuries and a/c was destroyed.
