From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Went to scandinavian aviation academy (saa) looked at the aircraft N803FC and took pictures also spoke to jason osburn director of maintenance for saa he showed me the landing lever switch that he had took out of the aircraft and it looked a little worn at the detents. Next went out to the aircraft and tried to simulate that action in the aircraft it was possible if the pilot was tall and if he or she was to move their feet off the rudder petals and put pressure on the landing handle and if the detents are worn. In addition Mr. Osburn gave me the written statements from theprivacy data omitted (student) and the privacy data omitted (instructor). privacy data omittedStatements below:

?My name isprivacy data omitted we did touch and go at kapv and then came back. On the way back we practiced three engine failures at 9000 feet. And then we decent down to 6500 feet. And request for the RNAV (GPS) runway 17 approach. We decent at 140 knots. And put down the gear and set flaps 10 to slow down to 100 knots before faf. And we continue to decent to mda and I take off the hood. I aligned the aircraft with runway. We are cleared to land runway 17 for the option and we have right cross wind something like 200 at 10 knots. We are going to make a full stop. And we did the final check red blue green and runway clean. And they are correct and all the three green lights are on. On short final we are a bit high and my instructorprivacy data omittedtold me to reduce pull back the elevator to let it slow down and we are a bit off the center line at 85 to 90KOTS and then pull back the elevator to let slow down and we are a bit off the center line. And my instructor said on the left rudder. Then we touched down and apply brakes to slow down. And then after a few seconds I found that our pitch is abnormal and we are sliding down on the runway. At that time my instructor checked the landing gear lever and find that it was up so he quickly moved it down I found that my knee is up out of the panel and seemed that my knee just touched the lever and pushed it up accidently. That time is 16:19. And then the airplane stopped. My instructor called the for help pull off the mixture and I turned off the master switch and magnetos and secure the engine. And get out the airplane. So when I thought about what happened was that may be after touched down an when I stepping right rudder I automatically raised my knee and at that time my knee touched the landing gear lever and pushed it up. And the landing gear lever seemed to be so smooth to move it up and down and it needn?t to pull out like the flap to raise it up. And I?m not sure about the speed that the nose gear became to retract I just remember that was happened after a few seconds after touched down.?

privacy data omittedStatement below:

?Me and my student were approaching Gillespie Field executing the RNAV (GPS) rwy 17, VFR practice approach on our way back from a VFR cross country (ksee-kapv-ksee). Approximately 2 miles from the jugal faf the student configured the airplane for final approach (gear in extended position, flaps set at 10 deg, isa 100 knots). We both followed the normal routine where we stated that all three gear position lights were illuminating green and that the in-transit light was off. We continued our descent. Shortly after establishing contact with Gillespie ATCT, requesting full stop landing runway 17 we got cleared to land runway 17. As we approached a 2 mile final for touchdown. I the instructor checked the gear status two more times prior to touchdown as a normal routine in order to assure that the gear is extended in safe position. As we approached the threshold the student starts to correct for crosswind. We touch down on runway 17 without side loading the main gear. After touchdown we imitate deceleration in order to exit the runway. As we are slowing down the student makes corrective action with rudder the student makes corrective action with rudder in order to maintain the runway centerline. A

As the FAA filed it

OSBURN GAVE ME THE WRITTEN STATEMENTS FROM THE^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (STUDENT) AND THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (INSTRUCTOR). ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^STATEMENTS BELOW:

?MY NAME IS^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WE DID TOUCH AND GO AT KAPV AND THEN CAME BACK. ON SHORT FINAL WE ARE A BIT HIGH AND MY INSTRUCTOR^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^TOLD ME TO REDUCE PULL BACK THE ELEVATOR TO LET IT SLOW DOWN AND WE ARE A BIT OFF THE CENTER LINE AT 85 TO 90KOTS AND THEN PULL BACK THE ELEVATOR TO LET SLOW DOWN AND WE ARE A BIT OFF THE CENTER LINE.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^STATEMENT BELOW:
