From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot departed on runway 13, the fifth of a six aircraft group taking off in intervals of approximately 75 to 100 foot spacing between aircraft. After a normal lift off, as the aircraft climbed through 20 feet AGL, the aircraft rolled to the right, the pilot corrected, then aircraft rolled abruptly to the left and pilot lost control of aircraft as the aircraft fell left, striking the ground with the left main gear first, then the prop struck the runway repeated times after which the right main gear contacted the runway skidding approximately 30 feet. Aircraft came to rest on its belly with the left gear folded back and the left wing tip resting on runway.
