From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that he was accomplishing aerial application of a field from west to east along the south edge of a field. He stated he was concentrating on the wires at the south edge of the field, since he was close to them. As he was finishing his first pass and was pulling up he saw the wires in front of him at the east edge of the field. He was able to climb enough so that he struck the wires with just the landing gear right above the main wheels. Both wires broke upon impact with the landing gear. The pilot determined that the aircraft appeared to be undamaged, so he completed spraying the field and then returned to elbow lake, MN airport (Y63) and landed without further incident.

As the FAA filed it
