From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot states the following as contributing factors involved in this accident:

?Incident happened while departing rwy 17 from end of the displaced threshold. The displaced threshold is about 500 feet long. While accelerating, the right wheel went through a shallow pool of standing water on the runway, causing the aircraft to lurch to the right. The water was right at the beginning of rwy 17, just past the displaced threshold. Estimated speed was 50-60 mph. Once the right gear went into the grass, that exacerbated the situation and increased the right turn rate into the grass. We crossed a connecting taxiway (A2?) And struck a taxi light with the left wheel pant. We went down a shallow slope into the grass between rwy 17 and taxiway alpha. The plane hit hard at the base of the slope, causing the canard (front left wing) to break approximately 2 feet from the fuselage. This resulted in one blade of the prop to strike the dirt, stopping the engine?.

As the FAA filed it
