From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

At 0900 local on Monday October 21, 2013 I received notification from my flm about an accident/incident that occurred on October 03, 2013 at the mid Florida (X55) airport near Eustis, FL. The reported mishap was at 0820 local by the lake county sherrifs office.

The aircraft was a weight shift control air trikes eagle registration number N927H. The airman stated that after he took off the aircraft lost power and then the engine stopped running. He did not make the proper control inputs for landing and ended nose down in the ground, then bounced about twenty feet. The airman was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. He suffered a head injury and a tear in his small intestine.
