From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC was conducting off airport operations to a remote landing strip. The PIC elected to land uphill, with a slight tail wind, on the two way strip. The airplane was equipped with 35 inch bush wheels and a baby bush tail wheel. During rollout, the tail wheel entered a hole, from which it vigorously rebounded, causing the tail of the airplane to rise. The slight tail wind exacerbated the rise, and the airplane eventually rotated completely forward and over on to its back.
