From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot taxied to the run up area off of taxiway "f" headed to runway 09.

The PIC stated that he turned into the taxiway area by having to weave in through the taxiway lighting along taxiway f, then at the end turned facing east to perform the run up. After performing the run up, he taxied back out on to taxiway f. turning right out of the run up area, the PIC struck the taxiway light that was to his right approximately at his 1 o'clock position.

He stated that while in the run up area from his position this light was not visible. (He stated that he learned that this light is lower than the rest for wing clearance).

The PIC stated that he was going to perform touch and go operations in the pa 28 (low wing) vs the normal plane he flies ce 172 (high wing).

There are also no visible lead in or out lines for this run up area.

The pilot stated that the actual run up area for runway 09 can not be used and that this section, off of taxiway f, is now used as the run up area for 09.
