From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During flight, pilot noticed oil pressure on #1 engine was dropping. Pilot elected to shut down the engine and make a precautionary landing at the psc airport. Maintenance determined there was a cut in the oil cap o-ring which allowed loss of 2-3 quarts of engine oil. Engine did not run out of oil. Maintenance contacted Cessna who told them to service the oil, replace the o-ring, and run the engine to see if there were any fluctuations in oil pressure. Seeing none, the aircraft was returned to service.
