From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed Orlando Executive Airport (orl). At 2000 ft indicated a bird struck the nose of the aircraft. Pilot made decision to return to (orl). When gear selected down an unsafe indication for nose gear WA indicated. An attempt was made to pump the gear down to no avail. A flyby confirmed nose gear down but still no nose gear down indication. On approach at full flaps the aural warnings sounded at throttle reduction. Pilot made a second fly by and again gear was visible in down position. On landing the pilot stated he made a "stiff landing on main gear." At this point a green was indicated on all gear and a normal roll out was made.
