From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated the wind was dead calm and he was struck by the 5 blackhawks rotor wash, and the helicopters were on the ground.

There were 4 blackhawks were on the ground doing their hit (heath indication test). They were only producing 1/2 the power needed to hover.

The experimental aircraft was over 400 feet from the blackhawks. Too FAR to be affected by the rotor wash being created.

The pilot mismanaged the controls resulting in a ground loop.
