From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft landed with an inoperative nose wheel steering and was being towed to the ramp when tow truck operator lost control. The aircraft careened (fishtailed) past the tow truck and contacted the rear of the tractor. Aircraft incurred a gouge on the RH fuselage and damage to the DME and VHF antennas. Passengers were deplaned using the aircraft stairs at taxiway and taken by bus to the terminal. No reported injury on this incident.

American eagle maintenance evaluated the damage. Both nosewheel assemblies, VHF, DME antennas, lower beacon assembly, nose wheel steering harness and manifold were replaced. A maintenance ferry flight to mqt was accomplished for permanent repair.
