From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Student pilot was on his first solo cross country. He obtained a standard weather briefing prior to departure. Weather conditions deemed appropriate for the flight. Approximately 15 miles from Twin Falls he received ASOS report than contacted the control tower and requested landing to a full stop. After turning base to final he corrected for the crosswind conditions and touched down on runway 08. Shortly after landing, an unexpected gust of wind lifted the left wing and the plane contacted the ground with the right wing tip and propeller. He inputed aileron and rudder to regain control and stopped in the runway safety area on the south side of the runway. He taxied the aircraft to the ramp under it's own power.
