From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC was on climb out after takeoff from runway 29 at ktsp when he decided to show his friend, how to do a simulated emergency turnback and downwind landing. At 500 feet, the PIC reduced power to idle and made a 180 degree right turn to land on runway 11. Winds were apx 320 at 15 G20+. The PIC landed long, apx 1/2-2/3 of the way down the runway. While on rollout, he lost directional control with the tail winds and departed the left side of the runway. He applied full power while trying to return to the runway, and made a downwind takeoff. His landing gear clipped the fence at the airport boundary, the aircraft cart-wheeled into the street, and stopped in a position with its nose into the ground. Both pilots climbed out and walked away.
