What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On a southbound heading approach to Willow lake , encountering windy conditions from the south, wind conditions increased/became gusty as the aircraft was crossing over from above the trees to above the water's surface. At 40-50 feet above water's surface, possible wind shear caused left wing to lose lift. Despite full power being applied, left float, left horizontal stab and left elevator made hard contact with water surface.
