From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was performing takeoffs and landings with full stops. The first two were uneventful. The pilot reported that after his 3rd takeoff the left engine RPM was only 1410 while the right engine RPM was 2600 with all controls full forward. He entered a left downwind for runway 08 and began cycling the prop controls to ascertain the RPM problem. He lowered the gear at 120 KTS and entered final at 105 KTS. He cut the power over the runway numbers and floated to touchdown and then bounced twice. He reported that a crosswind picked up the left wing and he elected to go around. He applied full throttle but the plane yawed and struck the grass off the right side of the runway. National weather service for vrb recorded east winds at 14 KTS at 1653 EDT with no gusts. The left propeller had one hour time in service since overhaul.
